Construction

Quote faster, track the job, get paid on time.

Quote requests captured with photos and scope before you drive out, estimates drafted from your own price book, and change orders signed on the spot. Built for the truck and the site, not the office.

What we can build

The things you assumed were too expensive to build.

Custom software used to be for companies with a hundred crews. Not any more. Here's what contractors are having built now.

Quote intake that does the interviewScope, photos, address and timeline captured before you call back.

Quote intake that does the interview

Most quote calls are the same eight questions. This asks them, collects photos of the job, and hands you everything you need to price it without a site visit for the small ones.

What's included

  • Your standard scoping questions, asked automatically
  • Photo and video upload from the customer's phone
  • Address, access notes and timeline captured
  • Lands in your pipeline ready to price

Typical build: 4 days

Estimates drafted from your price bookYour rates, your margins, a draft in minutes.

Estimates drafted from your price book

Built on your own pricing, it turns a scoped job into a draft estimate you review and send. The evening quote-writing session stops being an evening.

What's included

  • Uses your rates and your margins, not market averages
  • Drafts from the scoped intake automatically
  • You review and adjust before anything goes out
  • Follows up automatically on quotes nobody answered

Typical build: 5 days

Change orders with a signatureWritten, priced and approved on site, in two minutes.

Change orders with a signature

Verbal change orders are where margin goes to die. This writes it up, prices it from your rates, and captures a signature on the spot.

What's included

  • Priced from your rate card
  • Signature captured on a phone, on site
  • Timestamped and photographed for the record
  • Flows straight into invoicing

One place for every jobSchedule, crew, materials, photos and notes. On a phone, in the rain.

One place for every job

Job information lives in texts, WhatsApp and one person's memory. This puts it in one place that works on a phone with bad signal.

What's included

  • Can be scoped for offline use and later synchronization
  • Daily logs with photos, timestamped and located
  • Crew scheduling and assignment
  • Limited access for subcontractors

Supplier invoice processingPhotograph it, and it's in your system, coded to the job.

Supplier invoice processing

Supplier invoices and delivery dockets arrive as paper and PDFs, and someone types them in. This reads them, codes them to the right job, and pushes them to your accounting.

What's included

  • Reads photos, scans and PDFs
  • Codes to the right job automatically
  • Flags totals that don't match the purchase order
  • Pushes to QuickBooks, Sage or whatever you run

Replace the software you're rentingJob software, scheduler, invoicing tool. Add up the monthly.

Replace the software you're renting

Most contractors pay per user for tools built for a different size of company. We build what you actually use into one owned system.

What's included

  • We audit what you pay for and what you use
  • One system, owned outright
  • No per-user pricing when you hire
  • Keep what genuinely earns its subscription

Typical build: 5–10 days depending on the stack

Capabilities, timelines and performance are scoped targets. Final scope depends on your data, providers, permissions, network conditions and testing.

Why us

Three ways to solve this. Two of them cost more.

  1. 01

    Build it yourself

You're not going to. You know that. The evenings you'd spend on it are the evenings you're already spending writing quotes, which is the thing you're trying to fix.

  2. 02

    Buy off-the-shelf

Job management platforms are built for a company with twelve crews and a full-time admin. You pay per user for features you'll never open, and you still work around it.

  3. 03

    Have it built here

Built for how your crew actually works, on a phone, in days. You own it. No per-user fee, so winning a contract and hiring three people doesn't raise your software bill.

Typical day estimates are non-binding. Final scope is confirmed before billing; taxes and third-party costs are additional. Custom project deliverables transfer after final payment, subject to our Terms. Pre-existing Kollabit materials and third-party tools keep their existing ownership or licences.

How this starts

A free consultation. Genuinely no strings.

Thirty minutes, no charge, no pitch. Tell us where the time goes and we'll tell you whether software fixes it and how many days it takes. If the honest answer is that it doesn't, you'll hear that.

  1. 01

Tell us the problem — free

A call or a rough idea is enough. You do not need to arrive with a specification.

  2. 02

    See a prototype — free

We prepare one clickable prototype and include one feedback round. The prototype remains ours unless the engagement proceeds.

  3. 03

    Approve the scope

If the direction is right, we confirm a fixed scope and price in days. Billing begins only after you approve that scope.

  4. 04

    Watch it get built

You get daily progress you can review. Custom deliverables transfer after final payment, subject to our Terms.

Questions

The ones we get asked.

How much does a contractor website cost?

A simple site is roughly $400 CAD and typically two days. Simple and typical estimates are non-binding. Final scope is confirmed before billing; taxes and third-party charges are additional.

Will it work on a phone on site?

Yes, phone-first use can be included and is verified against the approved device/browser scope.

What if there's no signal on site?

Offline capture and later sync can be scoped for critical screens, subject to device and data-conflict testing.

Can you connect Jobber, Buildertrend or QuickBooks?

Potentially, when the provider exposes suitable access or an API and your account permits it; we confirm during scope.

Can subcontractors get limited access?

Yes, role-based access can be included in the approved scope.

How long until my crew can use it?

A typical simple system takes about five build days; rollout and testing depend on scope.

Do you do photography?

No. We build the software and use only media you authorize.

Who owns the finished system?

Custom project deliverables transfer after final payment, subject to our Terms; pre-existing and third-party materials keep their existing licences.

Can it handle change orders and sign-off?

Yes, written pricing and sign-off can be included in scope.

What if I don't like it?

One clickable prototype and one feedback round are free. If you stop there, no payment is due and you keep the feedback; the prototype remains Kollabit property unless the engagement proceeds, subject to our Terms.

Who owns the system and what about our project data?

You retain ownership of your data. Custom project deliverables transfer after final payment, subject to our Terms; pre-existing Kollabit materials and third-party tools keep their licences. We do not publish job photos without written permission or place confidential project or client data into third-party AI tools.
