Security & Services
Prove coverage. Fill shifts. Stop retyping incident reports.
Scheduling that confirms itself, incident reports written from a voice note, and a client portal that ends the monthly PDF. Built for an operation that has to prove what happened.
What we can build
The things you assumed were too expensive to build.
Guarding software is priced per guard and built for national contractors. Custom is now cheaper. Here's what operations are having built.
01Scheduling that fills its own gapsShifts assigned, confirmed by the guard, open ones filled automatically.
Scheduling that fills its own gaps
The 4am callout currently means texting eleven people. This contacts the right available, qualified people in the right order until one confirms.
What's included
- Guards confirm shifts, and unconfirmed ones get flagged
- Open shifts offered automatically by availability and qualification
- Overtime and rest-period rules built in
- You see coverage gaps before your client does
Typical build: 5 days

Incident reports from a voice note
Reports get written badly at 3am or not at all. The guard records what happened and it becomes a structured report with time, location and photos attached, ready for review.
What's included
- Voice note in, structured report out
- Photos, GPS and timestamp attached at capture
- Supervisor review before anything reaches the client
- Searchable and exportable when a dispute arrives
Typical build: 5 days

A client portal instead of a monthly PDF
Clients want visibility and currently get an emailed PDF once a month. This gives them their own login, scoped to their sites only.
What's included
- Live coverage, patrol logs and incident history
- Scoped strictly to their own sites
- Exportable reports they can pull themselves
- One fewer thing your office does manually
Typical build: 5 days

Patrol and checkpoint tracking
When a client asks whether a patrol happened, you need an answer with evidence. Checkpoints scanned, timed and located, exportable on demand.
What's included
- NFC, QR or GPS checkpoints
- Missed checkpoints flagged in real time
- Can be scoped for offline use and later synchronization
- Export packs for RFPs and disputes
Typical build: 5 days

Licence and certification tracking
Expiries are found during audits, which is the worst time. This tracks every guard's licences and certifications and warns you well before they lapse.
What's included
- Escalating reminders before expiry
- Blocks scheduling of anyone lapsed
- Documents stored against the record
- Audit-ready export at any time
Typical build: 4 days

Replace the software you're renting
Guarding platforms charge per guard, which means growth is punished. We build what you actually use into one system you own, with no per-head fee.
What's included
- We audit what you pay for and what you use
- One owned system, no per-guard licensing
- Winning a contract doesn't raise your software bill
- Keep what genuinely earns its subscription
Typical build: 5–10 days depending on the stack

Why us
Three ways to solve this. Two of them cost more.
- 01
Build it yourself
Scheduling logic and offline field reporting are harder than they look, and getting them wrong shows up as a coverage gap in front of a client. This isn't the place to learn.
- 02
Buy off-the-shelf
Priced per guard, built for national contractors, and every new contract raises your bill. You bend your operation to fit their model of how guarding works.
- 03
Have it built here
Built around your posts, your clients and your reporting requirements, in days. Owned outright, no per-guard licensing, and growth costs you nothing extra in software.
Typical day estimates are non-binding. Final scope is confirmed before billing; taxes and third-party costs are additional. Custom project deliverables transfer after final payment, subject to our Terms. Pre-existing Kollabit materials and third-party tools keep their existing ownership or licences.
How this starts
A free consultation. Genuinely no strings.
Thirty minutes, no charge. Tell us the worst part of your week — usually scheduling or reporting — and we'll tell you what it takes to fix it. No pitch on the other end.
- 01
Tell us the problem — free
A call or a rough idea is enough. You do not need to arrive with a specification.
- 02
See a prototype — free
We prepare one clickable prototype and include one feedback round. The prototype remains ours unless the engagement proceeds.
- 03
Approve the scope
If the direction is right, we confirm a fixed scope and price in days. Billing begins only after you approve that scope.
- 04
Watch it get built
You get daily progress you can review. Custom deliverables transfer after final payment, subject to our Terms.
Pricing
Two hundred dollars a day, per engineer.
That's the whole model. Most of what's on this page is four to five days. Less than a month of per-guard licensing on a mid-sized contract, and you own the result.
- 200
- CAD per day, per AI Product Engineer
- 4–5
- days for most of what's above
- 100%

The ones we get asked.
How much does a guard scheduling system cost?
A typical simple system is about five days at $200 CAD per engineer-day. Simple and typical estimates are non-binding. Final scope is confirmed before billing; taxes and third-party charges are additional.
Does incident reporting work without signal?
Offline capture and later sync can be scoped, subject to device, network and conflict testing.
Can guards use it on their own phones?
Yes, a phone-first web experience can be scoped without an app-store install.
Can clients see only their sites?
Yes, scoped role-based portal access can be included.
Can you connect our scheduling tool?
Potentially, when it exposes suitable access or an API and your account permits it.
Can it track licence expiry?
Yes, records and reminder workflows can be included; your organization remains responsible for validity.
How long before a real shift can run?
A typical simple build takes about five days, followed by agreed operational testing.
Where is data stored?
Residency is scoped. Canadian residency can be selected when a contract requires it and the architecture supports it.
Who owns it?
Custom project deliverables transfer after final payment, subject to our Terms; pre-existing and third-party materials keep their existing licences.
What if it doesn't fit?
One clickable prototype and one feedback round are free. If you stop there, no payment is due and you keep the feedback; the prototype remains Kollabit property unless the engagement proceeds, subject to our Terms.
What about guard location and shift data?
Guard location and shift data requires agreed purpose, retention limits and access controls. The customer remains responsible for its privacy, employment and surveillance obligations. Kollabit is not a licensed monitoring provider and does not assume operational responsibility.
